This is an odd flavour combination, but I promise it’s exceptionally good. It’s my go-to favourite lazy recipe at the moment. I serve this as an open sandwich because it works well on a single slice of toasted bread and too much bread is bad for me.
Ingredients
- Bean Supreme Masala Burger patties
- Veggies (I use whatever’s fresh and cheap, at the moment that means beans – one type of veggie is usually enough)
- Spinach
- Cream
- Feta cheese
- Cheddar cheese
- Salt & pepper
- Garlic butter
- Bread
- Something To Crow About Roasted Seed Toppers – Roasted Garlic flavour
Directions
- Toast the bread
- Dice the Masala Burger patty and fry in garlic butter and a little oil to stop the butter burning
- Throw in the diced vegetable(s) and fry with the patty
- When cooked, add cream and reduce the cream a little before adding the feta and cheddar
- Cook until the cheese melts a little bit – by now the cream should be reduced enough to be a thick sauce that has imbibed the flavour from the masala
- Stir in spinach leaves
- Add a pinch of salt and a blast of pepper (stirring in the pepper finishes off the creamy masala sauce)
- Serve on the toast
- Sprinkle Something To Crow About Roasted Seed Toppers (Roasted Garlic flavour) on top – this finishes the flavour due to the garlic and herbs in the mix. It makes a big difference, especially the garlic and herbs that make their way to the bottom of the packet
